Professional Bio
Elaine Marcia Wong is an early‑literacy specialist who teaches and trains using Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar. Since 2006 she has supported learners from 18 months to 12 years, preparing children for pre‑primary and Year 1 in international and government schools and supporting Year 1–7 in international curricula. In 2013 she founded Jolly Learners, a center focused on practical phonics instruction and teacher development. She also delivers preschool teacher training and runs talks and camps for children (5+) and teenagers.
Resposibilities
- Design and deliver early‑literacy lessons using Jolly Phonics/Jolly Grammar for ages 18 months–12 years.
- Assess progress and adapt instruction; plan creative, age‑appropriate classroom activities.
- Prepare children for school readiness (pre‑primary and Year 1) and support Year 1–7 learners.
- Conduct preschool teacher training and share classroom implementation strategies.
- Run literacy talks and camps for children (5+) and teenagers; communicate progress with parents.
- Lead program delivery at Jolly Learners and coordinate training with schools/preschools.
Experience
